Registration
We anticipate this trip to fill quickly, so we encourage you to register now. Space will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to 25 participants. Please read all of the fine print before you register.
You will be asked to provide your passport information on the registration. Please include your name as it exactly appears on the passport, your passport number, passport expiration date, and your date of birth.
To register, click on the REGISTER button, complete the form and make your payment. Please include a deposit of $1,000 per person, a larger partial payment, or the full amount if you wish. The balance of $3,000 (plus single supplement where applicable) must be received no later than February 15, 2020. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation if full payment is not received by this date, as we anticipate a wait list and have commitments to finalize. You will be sent a confirmation email within a week of registration with detailed information to help you plan your trip.
You may pay by credit card securely online or by sending a check (preferred) payable to Toni D’Anca at 1015 Orilla del Mar #3, Santa Barbara, CA 93103. If you are registering for two people, please use two separate registration forms. If you are registering for yourself and anticipate having someone attend with you, be sure they register now before the program fills and closes or they will be put on a wait list. We must have formal registration forms and deposits from both participants. Let us know if you plan to share accommodations, if you would like us to try to find a roommate, or if you prefer a single room.
Cancellation and Refund
Registrations are not transferable. All cancellations must be made in writing and received by February 15, 2020 for a full refund less a $500 processing fee. Cancellations received from this date to April 15 receive a full refund less a $1,000 processing fee. There is NO REFUND for cancellations received after this date.
If you leave the program for any reason, there is NO REFUND for unused services. If the program is cancelled or postponed by us, due to enrollment level or other unforeseeable circumstances, all fees that can be refunded will be refunded. If the program is cancelled or postponed, we assume no responsibility for participant’s cancelled air tickets or other prepaid transportation arrangements.
Travel and Insurance
You will want to fly into the Istanbul Havalimani Airport (IST), the main international airport in Istanbul. We will provide transportation to and from the airport and our hotel in Istanbul. More information will be sent nearer to your arrival. We highly recommend travel insurance that covers the costs of emergency medical, medical evacuation, trip cancellation/interruption, and cancel for any reason. U.S. citizens will need to apply online for a Turkish e-Visa, which allows for a maximum stay of 90 days and it must be acquired within a window of 180 days prior to your arrival in Turkey beginning from when you apply. More information will be sent with your confirmation materials.
Important Health Note
We welcome all travelers, but request that you be in good physical condition in order to enjoy the tour to the fullest. As a participant you must be able to keep up with the group, walk a mile or two, traverse uneven terrain, climb steps, and get on and off buses and boats on your own. Additionally, the tour is not wheelchair accessible. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance. Note the two nights and days that we will be on the gulet yachts will mean that you are away from immediate access to medical services. We reserve the right to remove at any time anyone whose physical condition, in our opinion, compromises the operation of the tour or detracts from your enjoyment or safety, or that of other participants. In that event, we assume no financial responsibility for any unused portion of the tour. The signed registration form is also a release of liability, required for all participants.
Responsibility
By registering for this tour, participants specifically waive any and all claims of action against Christine Downing, Toni D’Anca, and Media Travel International (MTI) for damages, loss, injury, accident, delay, or death incurred by any person in connection with the program. Neither will we be responsible for any injury, death, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity through neglect or default of any company or person engaged in carrying out the purposes for which tickets, vouchers, or coupons are issued, or monies collected. No responsibility is accepted for losses or expenses due to sickness, weather, strikes, wars and/or other causes. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for any reason whatsoever to alter the itinerary or arrangements, including faculty and/or hotel substitutions, such alterations may be made without penalty. Baggage and personal effects are at all times the sole responsibility of the participant. We reserve the right to decline to accept a participant or, as stated above, to remove a person from the tour if it is determined to be in the best interest of the health, safety, and general wellbeing of the group. We will make every effort to operate our tour as planned, but reserve the right to make itinerary changes as necessary.
