The Fee Includes
Program with Dennis Patrick Slattery and Willow Young, five nights’ accommodations (double occupancy) at The Barnacle Inn, five breakfasts, three lunches, two dinners, transportation around the island, and site fees.

The Fee Does Not Include
Travel to and from Nantucket Island, transportation from the airport or ferry to the Inn and back, some meals, optional activities, and incidentals.

Registration
We anticipate this program to fill quickly, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible. The retreat is limited to 18 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

To register, click on the REGISTER button, complete the form and make your payment. Please include a deposit of $1,000 per person (or the full amount if you wish). The balance of $850 (plus single supplement where applicable) must be received no later than July 5, 2021. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation if full payment is not received by this date, as we anticipate a wait list and have commitments to finalize. You will be sent a confirmation email within a week of registration with detailed information to help you plan your trip.

You may pay by credit card by calling me with your card information or by sending a check (preferred) payable to Toni D’Anca at 1015 Orilla del Mar #3, Santa Barbara, CA 93103. If you are registering for two people, please use two separate registration forms. If you are registering for yourself and anticipate having someone attend with you, be sure they register now before the program fills and closes or they will be put on a wait list. We must have formal registration forms and payment from both participants. Let us know if you plan to share accommodations or if you would like us to find a roommate.

Cancellation and Refund
Registrations are not transferable. All cancellations must be made in writing and received by July 5, 2021 for a full refund less a $150 processing fee. There is no refund for cancellations received after this date. If you leave the program for any reason, there is no refund for unused services. If the program is cancelled or postponed, we assume no responsibility for participant’s cancelled air tickets or other prepaid transportation arrangements.

Should the program require rescheduling due to unforeseen circumstances, all registrations will be moved to the new dates. Cancellations will receive a full refund less the processing fee.

Location and Accommodations
The retreat will be held at The Barnacle Inn, a classic Nantucket Inn built in the late 1920’s by Island tradesman. The Barnacle Inn has been owned by the Kiendl family for over 50 years. Just two short blocks from Main Street in downtown Nantucket, the Inn is uniquely situated in spacious garden surroundings in a historic Nantucket neighborhood.

The Barnacle Inn has 15 sleeping rooms with shared baths. The registration fee includes 5 nights’ accommodations, double occupancy. Single accommodations may be available for an additional fee of $550. We will enjoy a homemade signature continental breakfast on the patio or in the garden and meet in the Living Room for our daily presentations. The Inn has limited off-street parking; beach towels, umbrellas, and chairs; free wireless internet, and air conditioning. Please note that the Barnacle Inn is not handicapped accessible. Check in is at 3:00 pm (earlier on the day of your arrival) and check out is at 11:00 am.

Extra nights are not available at The Barnacle Inn before our arrival on Tuesday, October 5. However, rooms are available for extra nights starting on Sunday, October 10 for a total cost of $115 per night per person, which includes tax and breakfast.

Meals
Homemade signature continental breakfasts will be served at the Inn each morning by our hosts. Other meals included are Tuesday’s Welcome Dinner, Wednesday lunch, Thursday lunch, Friday lunch, and Saturday celebratory Closing Dinner.

Travel and Insurance
Located 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, plan to travel to Nantucket Island by air or by boat. Several major and local airlines fly regularly into Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK). The Steamship /Authority provides traditional ferry service on a daily basis from Hyannis for passengers and automobiles, taking approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes from Hyannis. They also provide seasonal one-hour high-speed passenger ferry service. Hy-Line Cruises provides daily year-round departures from Hyannis for passengers aboard their one-hour high-speed passenger ferry. They also provide seasonal service between Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Other ferries provide transportation from Harwich Port, New Bedford, New York, and New Jersey. Local taxis provide service around the island. Taxi from the Nantucket Airport to the Barnacle Inn is approximately $30 round trip. More information will be provided in your confirmation email.

We highly recommend travel insurance that covers the costs of emergency medical if needed, trip cancellation/interruption, and cancel for any reason. More information will be sent with your confirmation materials.

Responsibility
By registering for this retreat, participants specifically waive any and all claims of action against Dennis Patrick Slattery, Willow Young, Toni D’Anca, and The Barnacle Inn for damages, loss, injury, accident, delay, or death incurred by any person in connection with the program. No responsibility is accepted for losses or expenses due to sickness, weather, strikes, wars and/or other causes. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for any reason whatsoever to alter the schedule or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty. If the program is cancelled or postponed by us, due to enrollment level or other unforeseeable circumstances, all fees will be refunded in full. If the program is cancelled or postponed, we assume no responsibility for participant’s cancelled air tickets or other prepaid transportation arrangements.
