Location and Accommodations
Northern New Mexico is a high desert landscape with very dry air and high altitude. Albuquerque is approximately 5,000’, Santa Fe is approximately 7,000’, and Truchas is approximately 8,000’ above sea level.

The retreat will be held at Truchas Peaks Place on the scenic High Road to Taos in Truchas, New Mexico. At the midway point between Santa Fe and Taos, Truchas is easily accessible from either city, yet affords the peacefulness and pristine natural surroundings of a secluded retreat. Truchas Peaks Place is part of the Spanish colonial village of Truchas, settled in 1754 and now a vibrant community of locals of Hispanic origin, artists, and craftspeople. For more information and photos, visit www.truchaspeaksplace.com

If you plan to arrive in the area early or remain longer, rooms will be reserved at Hotel Santa Fe, 1501 Paseo de Peralta, Santa Fe for the days before and after the retreat. Information will be included in your confirmation email.

The Main House is 12,000-sq ft., newly constructed with local adobe materials in the pitched-roof style of the region. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter. Radiant heat warms the floors, gas fireplaces in the common areas and the second-floor suites supply extra warmth and ambiance.

There is a large gourmet kitchen, a dining room that seats 30, multiple meeting rooms and gathering areas, a covered wrap-around porch on the ground level, and balconies on the second level. The second floor is home to a grand library that contains over 10,000 volumes from the libraries of Jungian analysts, Donald Kalsched and Robin Van Loben Sels.

There are 14 bedrooms in the Main House, most with two beds (queen or single), some with an additional trundle bed. The rooms are elegantly appointed with high-quality mattresses, down pillows, and luxurious linens along with a desk, chairs, a wardrobe closet, and towels. All rooms share a bathroom. Accommodations are double occupancy. Seven semi-private single rooms (private room with shared bath) will be available for an additional fee of $500 for six nights.

Note: The meeting room is on the second floor of the Main House. There is no elevator, so participants must be able to navigate stairs for sessions and possibly to access your accommodations.

Meals
A local personal chef will provide all of our meals, prepared onsite. The retreat will include 17 meals from Friday dinner through Thursday breakfast. Hot tea, coffee, iced tea, and water will be available throughout the day. I will check in with you regarding any special dietary needs.

Travel and Insurance
Located in northern New Mexico, you can fly into the Santa Fe Regional Airport or the Albuquerque International Sunport. The Santa Fe Regional Airport is just one hour from Truchas. They provide daily flights from Denver, Dallas, and Phoenix on American and United Airlines. The Albuquerque International Sunport is two hours from Truchas. Both Airports provide car rentals. Detailed information will be sent with your confirmation materials. We will help connect travelers arriving and/or departing the same airport around the same time or who may be staying extra nights in Santa Fe who may be renting a car or looking to share the ride. Detailed recommendations and ground transportation options will be provided in the confirmation materials.

We highly recommend travel insurance that covers the costs of emergency medical, trip cancellation/interruption, and cancel for any reason. More information will be sent with your confirmation materials.
